Hello
I'm Dr. Hilary Coleman, the founder of Unilateral. I teach complex concepts to students of all backgrounds in a unique manner that opens horizons. I have taught hundreds or students across school and uni for over 15 years, and dedicate my time to student success. I have a passion for helping students gain confidence in their chosen path, I also love teaching chemistry (don't hold it against me!), my secret addiction is stationery and I have a weak spot for baked goods.

I believe education should be for everyone, so if you ever purchase any of my resources I choose an educational charity each year - currently the World Literacy Foundation - and will donate 5% of profits. (So if that's you - thank you for your donation.)
The Unilateral Story
I founded Unilateral in 2024 because I'd spent too many hours working with students who did not end up with the future they deserved. This is no-one's fault - as a previous school teacher I know that the curriculum is already packed and as a current senior lecturer, I know that there are many, many supports available. So what's the catch?
Students don't make use of university supports because the environment feels alien. Successful students feel like they belong, and this is very hard at a large institution where you don't know anyone. Even harder if you don't feel like you look like everyone else, speak like everyone else or come from the same background. But further education should be for everyone who wants to participate. That's why I've created these resources. I hope they help. If they do (or if you have any suggestions) please comment on the related resource.

And as always, happy study!

REFERENCES
I know, I know - this feels a little like homework. It's important though. You should demand to see people's working when it comes to your or your child's education. I've been teaching for a long time, so you should be able to rely on me, but why not ask for the evidence? Here are some of the sources for the statistics I present on my website and in my resources. If you find something that should be updated, let me know!
